Dr. Bittel specialized in vestibular anatomy, physiology, diagnostics and treatment during his two-year residential training at the American Institute of Balance and the National Balance Centers. He earned his doctorate of audiology degree from Nova Southeastern University and is involved with the University of Kansas Medical Center as an adjunct assistant professor in the neurology and audiology departments. He teaches the doctoral audiology vestibular course, and lectures to neurology residents and fellows on electrophysiology and vestibular evaluation/treatment. He also serves in leadership roles with national and regional professional audiology societies.
