Senior Audiologist

David C. Nissen, M.S., C.C.C.-ADavid C. Nissen, senior audiologist with Associated Audiologists, received his doctorate in audiology from the Arizona School of Health Sciences. His master of science degree in audiology is from the University of Central Missouri, as is his bachelor of science degree in speech pathology and audiology. Dr. Nissen has been with the practice's Prairie Village office for more than eight years.

David is certified as a dispenser of hearing aids by the Kansas State Board of Hearing Aid Examiners and is also a member of the Kansas Speech and Hearing Association and the Kansas City Society of Audiology.

David believes that a good working relationship between the audiologist and patient are the key to successfully managing a hearing loss. “With the numerous options available in hearing care today, cooperatively assessing each patient’s personal lifestyle and goals is key to successful management and rehabilitation of a hearing loss," he says.

David also has an extensive background in computer technology and is excited to see greater developments in the combination of computerized and digital hearing aid technology.
