Tim Steele, Ph.D., F.A.A.A., vice president of Associated Audiologists, Inc., is passionate about helping you reach your hearing and communication goals.
“My job as an audiologist is to develop a relationship with you and understand exactly how you can fully participate again,” Dr. Steele says. “Then I match your needs with the latest technology available. Finally, and most importantly, I provide you with the follow-up care that ensures your hearing aid technology is helping you hear your best now and for years to come.”
Dr. Steele’s practice philosophy revolves around building life-long relationships with his patients. He knows the impact of hearing loss is wide-reaching and often goes unrecognized. “Educating and empowering individuals and family members are keys to success,” Dr. Steele says. His doctoral research focused on hearing loss rehabilitation for adults with hearing loss and their families.
Dr. Steele has extensive experience in the field of audiology. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Kansas, teaches audiology coursework and provides clinical instruction for audiology programs in the region. He has taught at the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, in the Department of Communication Sciences and served as a supervising audiologist in charge of student training at the Kansas City VA Medical Center.

Dr. Steele and his wife, Julie, have four children and live in Lenexa, Kansas. He has served as president of the Site Council for their local school. He also holds various leadership roles at Old Mission United Methodist Church in Fairway, Kansas. Dr. Steele enjoys playing the piano and spending time with his family. He welcomes the opportunity to speak with groups on topics related to hearing and hearing loss.
