Audiologist
Dr. Hopkins Williams specializes in evaluating hearing loss and hearing aid fitting and verification. He joined Associated Audiologists after earning his Doctorate of Audiology degree from Washington University’s St. Louis School of Medicine. He performed his clinical externship at Washington University in St. Louis with the Division of Audiology. His doctoral research project analyzed the impact of directional microphone technology on speech recognition in noise in a BiCROS hearing aid.
Dr. Hopkins Williams’ personal experience with hearing loss is what inspired him to pursue a career in audiology. He wore hearing aids after he began to lose his hearing in grade school, but received a cochlear implant when he was 13 years old. Today, his hearing sensitivity and speech reception are essentially normal.
Dr. Hopkins Williams is a member of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA), holds a certificate of clinical competence in audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and is a member of the Kansas Speech-Language-Hearing Association (KSHA).
