Temporary outage: Widex Moment App

Important Notice from Associated Audiologists

Last updated: 11/2/2026

Widex Moment and Smart hearing aid users may have noticed a problem with using the Moment App to control their hearing aids lately.

Widex is experiencing technical difficulties with the Moment App. They are working on an update, which they expect to release this week (11/2/2026 – 11/7/2026).

What can I do to control my Moment hearing aids?

Moment and Smart hearing aid users have a few options:

  • If your hearing aids have active push button controls, use those.
    • For many models, the button on the right hearing aid will raise the volume of both aids, while the button on the left aid will lower the volume for both aids.
    • For some models, holding the button for 2-3 seconds will allow you to shift between programs.
  • iPhone users can access basic adjustments using native controls:
    • Option 1 – Triple click (press 3 times fast) on the right “lock” button.
    • Option 2 – Open Settings > Accessibility > ‘[Name’s] Hearing Aids’
  • Android or iPhone users can download the Widex Tonelink App as an alternate way to control your hearing aids while the Moment App is being repaired. Please note: you must adjust your Bluetooth settings for this to work.
    • Turn off the Bluetooth Connection to the aids, either by “forgetting” your hearing aid pairing, or turning off Bluetooth all together in order to use it.
    • Both of those options will prohibit the ability to stream (listen to phone calls, videos, etc. through your hearing aids).

For additional assistance, call Widex support at 844-497-8844.

Are all Widex hearing aids affected?

No. At this time, only the Moment App is down, which impacts Moment and Smart aids. Other Widex products, such as Allure, are not affected.
