Certified Audiology Assistant
Ally Martin graduated from the University of Kansas, Lawrence, with her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech-Language-Hearing Disorders in May 2022. She also has minors in American Sign Language (ASL) and applied behavioral science. In November 2022, Ally became certified as an audiology assistant.
Ally became interested in a career in speech-language pathology and audiology after her own experience with hearing loss. She was diagnosed with a hearing loss as a newborn, and was initially treated at Children’s Mercy Kansas City.
In middle school, her care transitioned to Stacey Baldwin, Au.D., Associated Audiologists, who she credits with not only taking care of her hearing, but inspiring her to work in the field. In high school, Ally volunteered as a student ambassador for Hear2HelpKC, a non-profit organization that helps children afford hearing aids. In college, she assisted the organization with its social media.
